DC writer Brandon T. Snider officially last week on social media confirmed the graphic novel “Supergirl’s Family Vacation” will be hitting shelves on May 5, 2026.

Superman Homepage reports...

This new middle-grade graphic novel, created by Snider and artist Sarah Leuver, presents a younger version of Kara Zor-El in what appears to be a more lighthearted, character-driven story than traditional superhero fare.

“Supergirl’s Family Vacation” introduces readers to a pre-teen Kara who excels at superheroics while maintaining perfect homework scores. But despite her impressive accomplishments—including capturing Lex Luthor himself—she still lives in the shadow of her famous cousin, Superman.

The 160-page digest-sized graphic novel follows Kara as she plans a summer trip to Argo, a floating city in space housing the last survivors of Krypton. Her goal? To finally connect with her heritage while showing Clark a thing or two about their shared culture. With her best friend Natasha joining the adventure (courtesy of an invitation from Lois), Kara is ready for the perfect getaway.

But, for superheroes, nothing is what it seems...

when an old friend of Clark’s interrupts their journey, diverting them to a mysterious planet with a dark secret that only Superman can apparently solve. Once again finding herself sidelined, the story explores how our young hero handles the frustration many pre-teens can relate to.

Has Kara been swapped for another Clark...namely Griswald? (hope you get the reference)
